Carolinas Medical Center Receives Gold Stroke Recognition.
The American Heart Association's recognition program provides hospitals with the opportunity to improve their compliance with science based guidelines and the ability to be bench marked with facilities of like size and mission.
CMC has obtained the second highest performance achievement award for advanced stroke care that is available from the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association. Only the Gold Plus achievement award which requires compliance in five quality measures ranks higher than this award. This means the CMC team has provided not only exceptional acute stroke care, but has also been able to maintain it over time. This award reflects 24 consecutive months of compliance at a level of 85 percent or higher.
On behalf of the AHA/ASA, Carolinas Medical Center and its exceptional neuroscience staff members are to be commended.
