Myers Park Infectious Disease provides a comprehensive treatment program for HIV & AIDS infected individuals. Our specialists are highly trained in the treatment of this evolving disease and we are one of the largest providers of this service in the state of North Carolina. Our board-certified Internists have been treating this illness since its discovery over 25 years ago. Both our physician assistant and our nurse practitioner hold the coveted American Academy of HIV Medicine (AAHIVM) credential, distinguishing them as dedicated to promoting excellence in the treatment of HIV and AIDS.
Our comprehensive program not only consists of top quality providers, but we offer a range of services including:
- Nutritional assessment and treatment by a licensed dietician
- Social Worker onsite
- On-Site pharmacy doctorates (PharmD) for consultation
- On-Site pharmacy for clinic clients
- Case management services available by County Health Dept.
- Referral services to other agencies as needed/desired
Myers Park Infectious Disease clinic also receives Ryan White Part A funds from the county and provides free medical care to qualified recipients who qualify and reside in Mecklenburg County, subject to income, residency, and funding restrictions.
The clinic is located adjacent to Myers Park Internal Medicine and referral services are available to those clients who require primary care physician services and do not currently have a primary care provider. In some cases, same day appointments may be available. It is possible to see your primary care provider and HIV provider on the same day!
