- AACOM New - American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM). Certificate or degree programs in medical education.
- AAMC - A not-for-profit association that represents all 137 accredited and 17 accredited medical schools. Supports education, research and patient care.
- ACGME - The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education is an independent, private, nonprofit council that evaluates and accredits residency programs in the United States.
- AMEE - The Association for Medical Education in Europe (AMEE). Members include educators, researchers, administrators, curriculum developers, assessors and students in medicine and the healthcare professions.
- Alliance of Independent Academic Medical Centers - The Alliance of Independent Academic Medical Centers (AIAMC) is a national membership organization whose members are major academic medical centers and health systems committed to quality patient care, medical education and research.
- Association for Hospital Medical Education - The AHME is a national, non-profit professional organization involved in the continuum of hospital-based medical education: undergraduate, graduate, and continuing medical education.

- LCME - The Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) is the nationally recognized accrediting authority for medical education programs leading to the M.D. degree in U.S. and Canadian medical schools. The LCME is sponsored by the Association of American Medical Colleges and the American Medical Association.
