The Center for Faculty Excellence (CFE) supports and enhances the expertise and skills of Carolinas HealthCare System faculty in the areas of teaching, research, and leadership.
The CFE serves as a clearinghouse for offerings, resources, and expertise across departments throughout Carolinas HealthCare System. The Center provides resources, continuing education offerings and personal consultations to foster leadership, enhance instructional effectiveness, and improve the academic environment.
Congratulations to Drs. Emily MacNeill, Brian Scannell and Susan Evans on winning the Center for Faculty Excellence 2014 Teaching Awards!
Dr. McNeill was awarded the Excellence in Resident Teaching Award- One resident wrote “Separate from her formal roles in the Department of Emergency Medicine, Dr. MacNeill is perhaps our best bedside educator. She is teaching constantly; her humor and enthusiasm for medicine are always on display. She is unfailingly collegial and encourages her residents and medical students to think. She has a talent for creating a fun and stimulating atmosphere where learners at all levels feel safe to engage in discussion. She is truly a cornerstone of our emergency department."
