The Anesthesia Technician (AT) program is a 36-week, non-credit, online program. Anesthesia technicians assist nurse anesthesists and anesthesiologists in the administration of anesthesia, provide airway management interventions, control anesthesia levels, and monitor patients during surgical procedures.

Healing Touch (HT) incorporates healing modalities such as energy fields and centers. The program has six levels from beginning to expert and instructor. Practitioners utilize non-invasive techniques to clear, eneregize and balance the human and environmental energy fields.

Life Support Education
The Center for Life Support Education, a department of Carolinas HealthCare System, offers American Heart Association (AHA)-approved basic and advanced life support training to employees, students, and the general community.

Carolinas College offers both the Nurse Aide I and II courses. Nurse aides provide basic patient care including feeding, dressing, grooming, and physical support while assisting patients to perform daily living activities.

The phlebotomist is an integral part of laboratory medicine. Phlebotomists draw blood for tests, transfusions, donations or research and collect other fluid or tissue samples.
Specialist in Blood Bank Technology/Transfusion Medicine
Specialists in blood banking are knowledgeable in all aspects of blood banking, transfusion medicine, hematopoietic, cellular and gene therapies, and tissue transplantation. This is a 12-month program for individuals currently employed in the blood bank field.
