The Continuing Education Division of Carolinas College of Health Sciences offers programs and workshops that will allow you to gain valuable hands-on experience. The continuing education hours can help you maintain your certification and licensure or just get you started on your new career path in healthcare.

Anesthesia Technician

The Anesthesia Technician (AT) program is a 36-week, non-credit, online/distance learning program. Once you earn certification, you can continue with clinical advancement in a surgical setting.

    Healing Touch (HT) incorporates healing modalities such as energy fields and centers. The program has six levels from beginning to expert and instructor. Strong commitment to personal growth is required.

    The Center for Life Support Education offers AHA-approved basic and advanced life support training to employees, students, and the general community. The Center can also be contacted for community courses.

    Carolinas College of Health Sciences offers a dynamic Nurse Aide I and Nurse Aide II program where students can begin to explore endless opportunities.

    The College offers course in pastoral psychotherapy where students learn perspectives and clinical skills of spiritual directions.

    The phlebotomist is an integral part of laboratory medicine. This 10-week program consists of five weeks in the classroom and five weeks of clinical rotations.

    Specialists in blood banking are knowledgeable in all aspects of blood banking, transfusion medicine, hematopoietic, cellular and gene therapies, and tissue transplantation. This is a 12-month program for individuals currently employed in the blood bank field.
