Join Us on April 24-26, 2014 for a New Ride!
Imagine riding a bike 180 miles from Monroe, NC, to North Myrtle Beach, SC, in three days. Now imagine pedaling that distance only using your arms or with limited eyesight. This is what a group of extraordinary cyclists set out to do each spring.
Cycle to the Sea is a unique ride that raises funds and awareness for the Adaptive Sports & Adventures Program (ASAP). This bike ride is held every spring and involves athletes with physical disabilities riding on handcycles and/or tandem bikes. Each rider must obtain individual pledges in order to participate.
This event is one of the main fundraisers for ASAP and allows us to continue to offer a variety of programs for youth and adults with physical challenges in the Charlotte community and surrounding areas at little or no cost to the participants.
- Wheelchair tennis
- Quad rugby
- Snow skiing
- Water skiing
ASAP offers the chance to soar across the water and ski across mountains and a chance to compete and win. It is an opportunity to be a part of a group that helps athletes grow in sport, spirit and confidence.
Please consider helping those involved to reach their goals and soar to new heights.
For registration or additional information, contact ASAP at 704-355-1062.
We wish to thank our valued corporate sponsors who have donated to Cycle to the Sea:
