Desserts: Apple Cinnamon Crunch


8 Granny Smith apples peeled and cut into wedges (about 8 C.)
1/4 C. lemon juice
1/2 T. grated lemon peel
2 T. ground cinnamon
1 C. Splenda
2 C. granola (plain or granola cereal with nuts and fruit)
1/2 C. melted light margarine or butter, trans-free


Peel and cut apples into wedges, place in a crock pot. Pour lemon juice and lemon peel on top of apples and mix well. In a large bowl, mix granola, cinnamon, and Splenda then pour on top of apples in crock pot. Pour melted butter on top of granola...DO NOT STIR or MIX. Cook on low for 6-8 hours.
