Breakfast and Brunch Recipes: Turkey Breakfast Sausage


Vegetable cooking spray
1/2 lb. lean ground turkey breast
1/3 C. toasted wheat germ
1 egg white, slightly beaten
1/4 C. chopped red bell pepper
1/4 C. chopped green bell pepper
1/4 C. chopped onion
1 tsp. poultry seasoning
1/4 tsp. ground sage
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ground pepper


Lightly coat broiler pan or baking pan and rack with cooking spray. Preheat oven to 425*. In medium sized bowl, combine all ingredients; mix well. Shape turkey mixture and flatten into 2 inch patties. Bake 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown. Serve hot.
