Tonya Gridley, MA, LDN, CDE
Tonda L. Gridley, MA, LDN, CDE, a native of northern Pennsylvania, moved to North Carolina in 1995. She attended Pennsylvania State University and completed her undergraduate degree in medical dietetics and biochemistry in 1976 and in 1994, received an M.A. in community/clinical psychology from Mansfield State University.
In January 1997, Ms. Gridley, who has worked as a nutritionist in clinic settings for more than 20 years, joined Cabarrus Family Medicine. She specializes in diabetes care, obesity management, and treatment of eating disorders using a cognitive-behavioral approach to help patients make lifestyle changes necessary for improved health.
Mrs. Gridley is a registered member of the American Dietetic Association, a licensed member of the North Carolina State Dietetic Association, and a certified diabetes educator. She conducts workshops on the nutritional therapy of eating disorders and the management of diabetes in family medicine for various professional groups.
Mrs. Gridley and her husband, Bill, have three children. They live in the University City area. Mrs. Gridley enjoys singing, the beach, gourmet cooking, reading, and the beautiful North Carolina weather.
