SACSCOC Student Complaint Policy and Procedures

Pursuant to the United States Department of Education’s Program Integrity Rule, Carolinas College is required to make available the contact information of the state agency or agencies that handle complaints against postsecondary education institutions. Additionally, State Authorization is required from any State where students may be residing for any curriculum courses offered via distance learning within that particular state. Carolinas College is currently working with NC-SARA and SARA-NC to obtain appropriate State Authorizations.

Carolinas College has a Student Grievance Policy that students are encouraged to utilize prior to filing a complaint with a state agency.

Complaints regarding the College that cannot be resolved at the institutional level, particularly complaints regarding applicable state laws, may be directed to the Consumer Protection Division of the North Carolina Department of Justice. To file a complaint with the Consumer Protection Division of the North Carolina Department of Justice, please visit the State Attorney General’s web page.
