Carolinas Medical Center (CMC) is the flagship facility of Carolinas HealthCare System. As one of North Carolina's largest hospitals, it serves as the regional referral center for western North Carolina and northern South Carolina. The hospital is one of only five facilities in North Carolina designated as an Academic Medical Center Teaching Hospital and a Level I Trauma Center. Levine Children's Hospital, located on the campus of CMC, is the largest children's hospital between Washington, D.C. and Atlanta. The 240,000-foot hospital opened in 2007 and is home to the region's only dedicated children's emergency department operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week. CMC-Randolph is the only dedicated psychiatric emergency department in the region, and provides treatment across a broad continuum of inpatient and outpatient services. Our center is staffed 24 hours a day/7 days a week by a skilled team, including board-certified physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers and nurses. CMC-Randolph provides a range of behavioral health services including crisis stabilization for adults, adolescents and children; adult inpatient services; separate inpatient units for adolescents and children as well as an extensive outpatient continuum of services. The Behavioral Health Services Center also provides an Employee Assistance Program for Carolinas HealthCare System employees and member companies.

AnMed Health Rehabilitation is a 40-bed acute medical rehabilitation hospital that offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services. The Rehabilitation Hospital is designed to help individuals reach their highest level of function and independence while recovering from a stroke, neurological disorder, brain or spinal cord injury, hip fracture, amputation, or orthopedic, cardiac or pulmonary condition. The Rehabilitation Hospital is expanding to add five additional rehabiliation beds, having received state approval.
