Glossary of Trauma Terms
Physical Therapists
Physical therapists are specially trained to maintain, restore or improve patient’s movement and activity. They work to diagnose impairments and functional disability to develop therapeutic interventions. Interventions include application of devices (i.e. splints), exercises, manual therapy, coordination and conditioning improvement. They work to prevent further injury and to allow the patient to return to their prior level of physical function
