The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the MitraClip System for the treatment of moderate-to-severe functional mitral regurgitation (FMR) in patients with symptoms of MR who are not appropriate for mitral valve surgery.
Who may be Eligible
Patients must have symptomatic functional MR, must have had at least one hospitalization for heart failure in the 12 months prior to enrollment, must not be a candidate for valve replacement surgery, and must be 18 years of age or older. The study doctor(s) can discuss and evaluate additional study eligibility criteria with potential patients.
