|Dr. Edward Kim|
Lung cancer accounts for more cancer deaths in the United States than any other form of cancer. However, researchers are making great strides in understanding the disease and how to more effectively treat it.
One important step is the use of personalized therapies that better target tumors, but with less toxic side effects.
Nationally recognized Levine Cancer Institute oncologist, Dr. Edward Kim, will speak about the importance of personalizing treatment for lung cancer patients at a Lung Cancer Expert Speaker Series on November 21 at 11:30 am. The event will take place at Levine Cancer Institute (1021 Morehead Medical Driver in Charlotte, NC). Admission is free and lunch will be provided.
RSVP to Khaki Stelten by November 14th.
Dr. Kim will be joined by Denise Mill, a lung cancer survivor. Both will present perspectives on personalized therapies. The speaker series is sponsored by the Lung Cancer Initiative of North Carolina.
