Carolinas College of Health Sciences Gives Back to Community to Celebrate No. 1 Ranking - Archived

Carolinas College of Health Sciences combined a day of service with a day of celebration on April 6 in Charlotte. CCHS celebrated being named as No. 1 two-year college in the nation for the second consecutive year. More than 100 students, alumni, faculty, staff and guests showed their gratitude by participating in 12 different service projects across the community. The events included:

  • Making sandwiches for Crisis Assistance Ministry
  • Assembling “pencil packs” for Classroom Central
  • Paint/seal woodwork and did chores for Florence Crittenton Services
  • Landscape at Freedom Park
  • Tend to the flower boxes at the college
  • Help children make cards for patients at Levine Children’s Hospital

As service activities concluded, participants celebrated with a traditional North Carolina barbecue lunch and spring fling activities like inflatable slides and relays.
