Hospice of Union County Tournament Raises $100,000

On May 21st, Hospice of Union County held its 16th annual golf tournament at Providence Country Club in south Charlotte. The event raised $100,000, bringing cumulative funds raised from the 16 years of the tournament to over $1.1 million. Griffin Motor Company of Monroe was the presenting sponsor for the tournament. Other major sponsors included Dr. R. Bruce Miller, Ralph Biggers, Union Power Cooperative, Heritage Funeral Home, WIXE Radio, Carolinas HealthCare Foundation, and Levine Cancer Institute.

Rob and Jean Kreisher, Volunteer Co-Chairs for the tournament, established the event in 1997. Speaking at the program following the golf, Rob Kreisher said, "Reaching the $100,000 milestone is an exciting day for Hospice of Union County and all the participants, volunteers and sponsors that helped make this a reality".

All proceeds from the event will go directly to help support patient care activities at Hospice.
