HPB Team Travels to Russia to Share Latest Surgical TechniquesJune 6, 2012 - David A. Iannitti, MD, FACS, is chief of the HPB surgery program at Carolinas HealthCare System (CHS) and specializes in hepatic tumor ablation, hepatocellular carcinoma and minimally invasive HPB surgery. Dr. Iannitti recently traveled to Russia to share his experiences with surgeons and expose them to newer surgical techniques, particularly in laparoscopy.

While overseas Dr. Iannitti performed a total of 15 cases and delivered six grand round lectures at four hospitals in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Stavropol. “CHS and its physicians and programs are recognized as leaders not only in North Carolina, or in the United States, but world-wide,” Dr. Iannitti said.
