Dr. Vanessa McPherson has been practicing Family Medicine for 19 years. She treats patients of all ages from infants to older adults. Some of her special interests include assisting patients with weight loss, contraception/birth control, whole family care, office based procedures such as minor surgeries, and she brings a holistic approach to the care of her patients. Dr. McPherson is originally from Hickory, NC, attended college at UNC-Charlotte and attended medical school at UNC Chapel Hill where she was the co-president of the student body. She completed her residency training in Columbia, South Carolina at USC. She completed a faculty development fellowship and was on faculty at Carolinas Medical Center's department of Family Medicine for 16 years before transitioning in 2016 to South Charlotte Primary Care. When not working, she is a wife and mother of 3, an avid yoga practitioner who enjoys traveling and scuba diving.
