From our roots as a small hospital built on former farmland, Atrium Health Pineville has evolved into a major healthcare hub that provides access to a higher level of care than any other hospital in the area.

Atrium Health Pineville – named among IBM Watson’s Top 50 Cardiovascular Hospitals for 4 years in a row – offers advanced cardiovascular care from Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute, including open heart surgery. Through Levine Cancer Institute, we provide innovative cancer care that’s tailored to your needs, including access to surgical and radiation oncology right here on our campus.

In 2021, Atrium Health Pineville was named a Best Hospital for Maternity by U.S. News & World Report, a Best Hospital for Rehabilitation by U.S News & World Report and Newsweek, and 6 of our programs were recognized for performance scores in the top 10% nationwide – from knee replacement to diabetes and endocrinology.

Partnership with the YMCA

In an era of building partnerships to benefit the health of a community, Atrium Health Pineville and the YMCA of Greater Charlotte have teamed up to provide health centers located inside the Harris, Harris Express, Siskey and Morrison YMCAs. This collaborative effort provides preventive health education and wellness programs to the community. See a list of all health centers.

Visiting Hours

In general, Atrium Health Pineville has an open visitation policy between the hours of 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. However, visiting hours or the number of visitors may be restricted depending on the patient's condition or type of nursing unit.

If you are visiting a new mom, please be aware that we are promoting a scheduled “nap time” from 3 to 5 p.m. each day. We encourage you to avoid visiting new moms during those hours.

Some visiting restrictions may be imposed depending on the type of care being administered.

If you will be staying overnight with a patient, please ask your nurse about getting a visitor's badge. All visitors who stay beyond regular visiting hours must wear a visitor's badge.
